Overview
This bill creates a new sport fishing angler access account and surcharge to fund reports on the economic impact of sport fishing in Alaska and to improve sport fishing access opportunities. It requires the Department of Fish and Game to produce and disseminate an annual report on the economic impact of sport fishing, and to allocate funds from the surcharge to develop and maintain access facilities and services for anglers. The bill also allows residents of Yukon, Canada, to purchase certain sport fishing licenses at Alaskan resident rates.
