Overview
This bill aims to ensure that transportation network company (rideshare) drivers in Alaska receive a minimum payment of 90% of the fare charged to riders for prearranged rides. It also establishes rules for compensating drivers for mileage and time spent traveling beyond 10 miles from the pickup location, using the IRS standard mileage rate and at least the state’s minimum wage.
