Overview
This bill changes the rules about liability for businesses and individuals who serve alcohol in Alaska. Currently, businesses could be held liable for injuries caused by intoxicated customers. This bill limits that liability unless the business knowingly served alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person or served it after hours. It also requires businesses to verify a customer's age with a valid ID when serving alcohol to someone who appears to be underage.
