Overview
This bill establishes a new bed tax in Alaska. The tax is three percent of the room rental amount and applies to hotels, motels, and other temporary lodging places. Certain types of rentals, such as those exceeding 30 days or for official government travelers, are exempt from the tax. The collected tax will be paid to the Department of Revenue.
