Overview
This bill directs the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to create and implement a plan for prioritizing maintenance of transportation facilities, particularly roads and highways, located in wildland urban interface zones. The plan will consider accessibility and prioritize facilities that are only accessible by a single route. The department will gather input from local communities and organizations to develop a list of roads needing attention, especially during wildfire season, and submit a report to the legislature by December 2026.
