Overview
This bill seeks to extend the governor’s disaster emergency declaration, initially issued on October 9, 2025, in response to the 2025 West Coast Storm. The legislature is amending existing law to formally approve and ratify the previous extensions of the emergency, which were issued in November, December, and January of 2026. It also retroactively applies the extension to February 6, 2026, allowing state agencies to continue their emergency response efforts. The extension is set to expire on March 8, 2026.
