Overview
This bill creates a fund in Alaska to manage settlement payments received from lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and distributors. The fund will be held in the state treasury and can be used to address the opioid crisis within Alaska. Specifically, the money can be used to fulfill agreements reached in opioid lawsuits and to cover the costs associated with managing the fund itself. The fund is not designated as a dedicated source of funding.
