Overview
This bill modifies how students in district-wide early education programs are counted for funding purposes within Alaska’s school districts. Specifically, it changes the calculation of full-time equivalent students to reflect that students in these programs are counted as one-half of a full-time student. The bill also repeals several existing sections of the Alaska Statutes related to early education funding and eligibility. It establishes a July 1, 2025, effective date for these changes.
