Overview
This bill requires health care providers in Alaska to report any financial relationships they have with businesses that provide health care services, supplies, or equipment to which they refer patients. It also requires those businesses to report the amount they bill for services provided to referred patients. The goal is to increase transparency around potential conflicts of interest and ensure patients are receiving appropriate care. Finally, the Commissioner of Health will compile a report for the legislature detailing these financial relationships and billing amounts.
