Overview
This bill requires Alaska schools to incorporate mental health education into their health and personal safety curriculum. It directs the Board of Education to develop guidelines for this instruction, in consultation with various state and national organizations. The bill also amends existing laws to strengthen parental involvement in education and expand the scope of health education to include mental health topics.
