Overview
This bill makes changes to how pharmacists in Alaska can prescribe and administer drugs and devices, expands reciprocity for pharmacists from other states, and updates continuing education requirements. Specifically, it allows pharmacists to independently prescribe and administer certain vaccines and opioid overdose drugs under specific training conditions, and clarifies the definition of ‘practice of pharmacy’ to include collaborative practice agreements and patient care services.
