Overview
This bill modifies Alaska’s tax laws to exempt electric cooperatives, electricity generation facilities, and electricity storage facilities from certain state and local taxes. Specifically, it removes taxes on electric cooperatives and generation/storage facilities, and creates an exemption for new facilities meeting specific criteria related to their operators and electricity recipients. The bill also adjusts how revenue from the telephone cooperative tax is distributed.
