Overview
This bill requires the Department of Education and Early Development to create a curriculum for students in grades six through twelve focused on opioid abuse awareness and prevention. The curriculum will cover the dangers of opioids, including fentanyl, safe prescription medication use, and early warning signs of addiction. Additionally, the bill directs the Department of Health to propose allocating funds from the national opioid settlement to support the development and implementation of this curriculum.
