Bill overview
This bill establishes a fund and a commission to support research into childhood cancer and rare childhood diseases. The fund will be financed through state appropriations, donations, and grants, and will be used to provide grants to nonprofit health care providers and research institutions in Arizona. A newly created commission, comprised of patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and representatives from pediatric cancer advocacy groups, will oversee the allocation of these funds and ensure transparency in the grant-making process.
