Bill overview
This bill restricts how municipalities in Arizona’s initial active management areas can regulate landscaping. Specifically, it prohibits requiring minimum amounts of turf, except for certain public spaces, and limits the types of plants that can be installed to those on a state-published list of drought-tolerant options. The bill also specifically prohibits including mesquite trees on this list.
