Bill overview
This bill clarifies the definition of ‘irrigation’ under Arizona water law. Specifically, it amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 45-151 to explicitly include the use of water for livestock feed and poultry as part of the definition of irrigation. It also recognizes water rights in stockponds as if they were traditionally appropriated, and broadens the types of water uses that can be included in a water right, such as for wildlife and mining.
