Bill overview
This bill establishes a process for investigating potential violations by health profession regulatory boards in Arizona. If a legislator requests it, the Attorney General can investigate actions by these boards for alleged violations of state law, rules, or the Arizona Constitution. If the Attorney General cannot investigate due to a conflict of interest, the case is referred to a county attorney. Both the Attorney General and county attorney must report their findings to the Governor, legislature, and Joint Legislative Budget Committee, who will then review the report and make recommendations for budgetary changes if necessary.
