Bill overview
This bill, titled the "Government Transparency Act", requires state and local government entities – including cities, counties, school districts, and the state itself – to post task order contracts on their official websites. Task order contracts are a type of contract used for supplies or services under an indefinite delivery or quantity contract. Contractors can redact certain personal or proprietary information before posting, but the total contract amount, contractor identity, service descriptions, and contract length must remain public.
