Bill overview
Senate Bill 1180 updates Arizona’s income tax forms and instructions. The Arizona Department of Revenue (DOR) will assume that the state legislature will eventually align Arizona’s tax laws with federal tax laws (conformity). However, if the legislature chooses to maintain differences between Arizona and federal tax rules (nonconformity), the DOR will provide supplemental information to taxpayers regarding those differences. This bill ensures taxpayers have accurate forms and instructions reflecting the latest tax law changes.
