Bill overview
This bill amends Arizona’s public safety retirement plan to require correctional officers to contribute a percentage of their salary to their retirement accounts. Employers will also contribute a percentage of the officers’ salaries, effectively ‘picking up’ the employee contributions. The bill also allows for supplemental contribution incentives for long-term employees, up to $5,000 per participant, to encourage increased retirement savings.
