Bill overview
This bill restricts what municipalities in Arizona can require when developing planned communities. Specifically, it prohibits municipalities from mandating homeowner’s associations, shared amenities requiring associations, or gates/fences. Furthermore, it prevents cities from imposing design restrictions on single-family homes and accessory dwelling units, including rules about materials, colors, landscaping, and architectural styles. The goal is to give homebuyers more freedom in choosing their homes and community features.
