Bill overview
This bill restricts how public schools and libraries in Arizona handle sexually explicit materials. Schools can only refer students to or use such materials if there’s serious educational value and parental consent is obtained, with alternative assignments provided for students without consent. Libraries are prohibited from directly providing sexually explicit materials to minors, and employees must acknowledge their understanding of the new rules. The bill also modifies titles and chapters within the Arizona Revised Statutes to reflect these changes related to computer and library access.
