Bill overview
Senate Bill 1487 extends the program allowing individuals to purchase and design special license plates to support the Hopi Tribe. If a person donates $32,000 to the Department of Transportation, they can design the plates, which are subject to departmental approval. The money collected from plate fees and donations will be used by the Hopi Tribe for road maintenance and traffic control on tribal reservation highways within Arizona.
