Bill overview
Senate Bill 1502 changes the penalties for fleeing law enforcement in Arizona. It increases the felony charge for fleeing a marked law enforcement vehicle operating in a specific manner, and also increases the penalties for fleeing an unmarked vehicle, particularly if the driver knew or should have known the vehicle was police. The bill also adds a separate felony charge if fleeing endangers a person, especially a minor, or if the driver has prior offenses related to fleeing law enforcement.
