Bill overview
This bill changes Arizona law regarding photo radar enforcement. It clarifies that individuals receiving notices of violation from photo enforcement systems do not have to identify the driver or respond to the notice. Before a citation is issued, law enforcement must review the evidence from the system to confirm a violation occurred, and companies cannot determine if a violation occurred. If a violation is found, a civil penalty of up to $75 can be assessed, and the violation won't be used to suspend or revoke a driver's license or affect insurance rates.
