Bill overview
Senate Bill 1632 modifies Arizona’s rules for credentialing vendors who provide services to the Department of Economic Security (DES). If DES denies a vendor’s application for credentialing or recredentialing, the vendor will receive an opportunity to correct identified deficiencies within 14 business days. If the vendor corrects the issues and the DES reevaluates, they may be approved. The bill also establishes a process for appealing denial decisions and requires DES to create implementing rules by June 30, 2027.
