Bill overview
This Concurrent Resolution proposes an amendment to the Arizona Constitution to add virtual currency to the list of property exempt from state property taxes. The amendment clarifies that virtual currency, defined as a digital representation of value, is exempt from taxation. Existing exemptions for federal, state, and local property, household goods, retailer inventory, and certain other property types remain unchanged. The legislature retains the authority to further expand these exemptions.
