Bill overview
This resolution proposes changes to how Arizona school districts spend their budgets. It requires school districts with a student count of 7,500 or operating in a county of 500,000+ residents to dedicate at least 60% of their operational spending to direct instructional expenses. Districts that fall short of this requirement could face reduced funding from the Classroom Site Fund, with penalties increasing over time. The Superintendent of Public Instruction can grant one-year waivers from these requirements, subject to limitations.
