A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 46 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to prior authorization, so as to reform prior authorization and utilization review requirements for healthcare plans; to provide for certain information to be provided to healthcare providers at the time of notification of an adverse determination; to provide for retroactive authorizations; to exempt certain healthcare services from prior authorization; to revise prior authorization time responses; to provide for automatic authorization; to provide for the chapter construction; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
