89R2331 CMO-D By: Flores H.B. No. 550 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the provision of menstrual products at public schools. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 38, Education Code, is amended by adding Section 38.038 to read as follows: Sec. 38.038. AVAILABILITY OF MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS. (a) In this section, "menstrual products" means tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection with the menstrual cycle. (b) Each school district shall make menstrual products available free of charge in each restroom designated for female
