89R1588 AJZ-D By: Bucy H.B. No. 566 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to required proof of lawful presence in the United States for issuance of a driver's license. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 521.1425, Transportation Code, is amended by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: (e) For purposes of issuing or renewing a driver's license, the department must accept as satisfactory proof that an applicant is authorized to be in the United States under Section 521.142(a) the following documents:
