89R531 CJD-D By: Leo Wilson H.B. No. 672 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the use of a political contribution to pay a civil penalty or fine imposed by the Texas Ethics Commission. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 253.035, Election Code, is amended by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: (c-1) The prohibitions prescribed by Subsections (a) and (b) include the personal use of a political contribution to pay a civil penalty or fine imposed by the commission.
