89R3681 KSD-F By: Gervin-Hawkins H.B. No. 801 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the application for funding for certain workforce development programs. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 302, Labor Code, is amended by adding Section 302.0465 to read as follows: Sec. 302.0465. DIRECT FUNDING APPLICATION. (a) The commission shall adopt a plan to allow nonprofit service providers to apply for funding directly from the commission if the local workforce development board is nonresponsive. A local workforce
