By: Harrison H.B. No. 901 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to a limitation on the salary paid to officers and employees of this state and political subdivisions of this state. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 659, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 659.0111 to read as follows: Sec. 659.0111. LIMITATION ON SALARY. Notwithstanding any other law, the taxpayer funded salary of a state officer or employee may not exceed the amount of the salary set by the biennial appropriations act for the governor. SECTION 2. Chapter 180, Local Government Code, is amended
