89R986 MZM-D By: Cain H.B. No. 927 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the interpretation of certain laws protecting the free exercise of religion. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 110.009(b), Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is amended to read as follows: (b) The protection of religious freedom afforded by this chapter is in addition to the protections provided under federal law and the constitutions of this state and the United States.
