No. 974 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to a limitation on the salary of superintendents and chief executive officers of school districts and open-enrollment charter schools. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 11.201, Education Code, is amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: (b-1) A school district may not employ a superintendent for an annual salary in an amount that is greater than the amount of the annual salary authorized by the legislature for the governor.
