89R3451 RDS-D By: Bhojani H.B. No. 1047 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the designation of certain optional holidays. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 662.003(c), Government Code, is amended to read as follows: (c) An "optional holiday" includes only: (1) the days on which Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, [or] Good Friday, All Saints' Day, Lunar New Year, Dashera, Vaisakhi, Vesak, Eid al-Fitr, or Eid al-Adha fall; and (2) one day of the Diwali festival and one day of
