89R518 SCP-D By: González of Dallas H.B. No. 1164 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the prohibition of certain discrimination; authorizing civil penalties. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subtitle C, Title 5, Business & Commerce Code, is amended by adding Chapter 101A to read as follows: CHAPTER 101A. DISCRIMINATION IN PLACES OF PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS Sec. 101A.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Commission" means the Texas Workforce
