89R5161 JDK-D By: Meza H.B. No. 1409 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to limitations on the use of administrative segregation by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 501, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 501.115 to read as follows: Sec. 501.115. LIMITATION ON USE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SEGREGATION. (a) In this section, "serious bodily injury" has the meaning assigned by Section 1.07, Penal Code.
