By: Leo Wilson H.B. No. 1484 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the protection of students from sexual grooming. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Add a new Subchapter H, Chapter 38, Education Code, to read as follows: SUBCHAPTER H. SEXUAL GROOMING PROTECTION ACT Sec. 38.401. SEXUAL GOOMING PROTECTION.(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, as provided by this subchapter a parent who determines that their child is subjected to sexual grooming at a public school is entitled to the right to protect their child from such sexual grooming by selecting
