89R3930 ANG-D By: Tinderholt H.B. No. 1501 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to a study of the feasibility of using seawater desalination processes in Texas. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. DEFINITION. In this Act, "center" means the Texas State University Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. SECTION 2. STUDY. (a) The center shall conduct a study evaluating the ways in which this state can incentivize the creation of seawater desalination plants along the Gulf Coast.
