89R13731 MPF-D By: Virdell H.B. No. 4385 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to residence for purposes of voting. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 1.015, Election Code, is amended by adding Subsections (c-1), (c-2), (g), and (h) to read as follows: (c-1) A person is considered to have left the person's home for more than temporary purposes if the person does not reside at the person's home for at least 180 days in a calendar year. (c-2) Subsection (c-1) does not apply to a person: (1) who is a member of the armed forces of the United
