89R14692 LRM-F By: Morgan H.B. No. 4471 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the appointment of a signature verification committee in certain counties. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 87.027, Election Code, is amended by amending Subsection (a-1) and adding Subsection (a-2) to read as follows: (a-1) A signature verification committee shall be appointed in the general election for state and county officers on submission to the early voting clerk of a written request for the committee
