89R16650 EAS-F By: Bucy H.B. No. 4599 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the Health and Human Services Commission's authority to establish and implement certain public health initiatives. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subtitle H, Title 2, Health and Safety Code, is amended by adding Chapter 180 to read as follows: CHAPTER 180. PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES Sec. 180.001. PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES. (a) The commission may establish and implement initiatives to address public health challenges affecting residents of this state,
