By: Leach H.B. No. 4713 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to amending the Texas General Arbitration Act. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 16.073, Subchapter D, Chapter 16, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is amended by striking Subsections (a) and (b) and substituting the following: Sec. 16.073. APPLICABILITY OF LIMITATIONS PERIODS TO ARBITRATION. A claim sought to be arbitrated is subject to the same limitations of time for the commencement of actions as if the claims had been asserted in a court. Commencing an action by filing suit in a court of competent jurisdiction will serve to toll limitations
