89R15734 JDK-D By: McQueeney H.B. No. 4849 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the numbering of ballots. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 52.062, Election Code, is amended to read as follows: Sec. 52.062. NUMBERING OF BALLOTS. (a) The ballots prepared by each authority responsible for having the official ballot prepared shall be numbered consecutively beginning with the number "1."
