89R8757 MCF-D By: Moody H.B. No. 4919 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the age at which a juvenile court may exercise jurisdiction over a child and to the minimum age of criminal responsibility. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Article 45A.453(a), Code of Criminal Procedure, is amended to read as follows: (a) In this article, "child" means a person who is: (1) at least 13 [10] years of age and younger than 17 years of age; and
