89R6014 DNC-F By: Parker S.B. No. 937 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to bidding or procurement requirements for improvement projects in public improvement districts. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 372.003, Local Government Code, is amended by adding Subsection (b-2) to read as follows: (b-2) A public improvement project is not subject to the bidding or procurement requirements of Chapter 252 or Chapter 262 if at least one-third of the cost of the improvement is or will be paid or secured by a special assessment levied on property located
