By: Zaffirini S.B. No. 998 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the creation of the Alzheimer's Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subtitle E, Title 2, Health and Safety Code, is amended by adding Chapter 101A to read as follows: CHAPTER 101A. ALZHEIMER'S PREVENTION AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF TEXAS SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS Sec. 101A.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Institute" means the Alzheimer's Prevention and
