89R848 RDS-D By: Parker, et al. S.B. No. 1045 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the requirement that a state agency grant an opportunity for a public hearing before adopting certain rules. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 2001.029(b), Government Code, is amended to read as follows: (b) A state agency shall grant an opportunity for a public hearing before it adopts a substantive rule if a public hearing is requested by: (1) at least 10 [25] persons;
